I seem to remember that last time this happend I had to change some setting or other to tell my laptop there’s a sound card installed, then download some patch or other – this worked like a dream last time but unfortunately I have no idea what I did!

I had received this same alert with the driver from the other company but I went ahead and tried to install it anyhow. I have no idea what to do The following solution was suggested audii a HP Support person on chat, and worked for me. I stopped the installation, though, because of an alert pop-up: Clicking the “Kudos star” to the left is a great way to say thanks!
